Funky Good Times
As we all know - the winds have shifted. Like a seismic tremor which demands a radical recalibration.
We stand at the abyss of an eruption.
We don’t realize what we already have, therefore we think something is misssing.
My submissions for the upcoming Wrong Biennale 2026 depict arial landscapes and abstract mindsets, offering abstract interpretations of nature, reflecting growing environmental concerns, that highlights the planet’s beauty and fragility. It advocates for tapping into the unconscious as a source of unrealized creativity and a deeper understanding of reality. I emphasize the importance of discovering the marvelous - the surprising, unexpected and irrational aspects of life.
I build up the work with patience. I use all kinds of paper, caulk and threads to create a structure, the structure of change, violence and the overall rageful hustle of the world. Think about all the white noise out there in the streets, the bleeping cell phone, cars and scattered voices, the wind of the ocean, the blossom of trees, the quietness of a pond.
There are truths that lie beneath the surface of the images, truths that only reveal themselves sporadically, like the Northern Lights in a winter sky. Things we don’t feel, we forget. Through my work I would like to create moments in time in which our imagination overlaps reality. These are the moments in which we are alive.
